in this race to stumble over, fall off and get past the fiscal cliff we have heard over and over
that all the dems want is for the rich to pay their fair share. Lets go back to the Clinton
years and just have them pay now what they paid then…

Well if you do just a tad of home work, some thing republican leadership can not do, you
will find that in 1996 under clinton and after his tax increases the top 2% paid 33.5% of total
federal tax, (+-). Today they pay between 39.7-40.2% and increase of 20%.

I wanted to find out what is going on so i took 30 minutes and i called 5 Republican senators or
congressman that are front and center in this debate……. all agreed that 40.2 % was a lot more
33.5% yet not a single one of their staff members knew that…. that is staggering…

Now i called 5 front and center dem senators or congressmen and asked the same question. I asked
all "if i understand correctly all you want to do is have the top 2% pay what they did under
Clinton and teir answer every time was yes that is all we are asking. I then asked you mean that
since the top 2% paid 33.5 of the federal tax in 1996 that is what you want them to pay now?????
none of them knew that the rich paid more now than then, but every office indicated , no not the
amount we dont care about that we want the rate up.

I dont now where in the hell i woke up after the election, but it was not where i went to bed.
