Just back from a 3 day business related seminar in Vegas. I have not been there since the 90’s. Boy has it changed.
Here is my trip report:
Arrival: Thursday afternoon. After check-in, early dinner, and some walk around the area. Went to the tables at the hotel I was staying at. I could see right away that they were bouncy. They also had a very high rail. The highest I have ever seen. Tables were very crowded. 4 tables all busy. 10 to 25 buy in. Left and went to another nearby casino, related to the casino I had just left, and the tables were the same. Did not play at either place.
Took a cab to another casino. Tables much better. I could hear the dice hit the table. They were 12 footers. I found a spot at one of the 15 dollar tables. Tossed 3 rolls. Nothing to show for it. Two were in the teens. One was a point-seven. No one else doing anything. Lots of middle play slowed the game down. I left down 165 dollars
Friday morning before class: Went back to the same casino from the night before. Much better now. Only 2 tables open. 10 and 15. Grabbed same spot at same table from night before. Only 5 players. Three on the right side. 2 on the left. One was a dont bettor.
Buy in at 400. Wait for Do player to crap out. Don’t player passes. I am up.
I learned from the night before that my throw was better if I eliminated the back swing and lowered the trajectory to about 30 degrees. And tossed, low and slow. I was using the 3-V the night before. This time I went back to the Hardway set.
I had a good roll, did not count, but i would say about 25-30. Next guy is at the head of the table. Big bettor, soft random toss. He went on to a really good roll. At least a 30. I started betting on him after the five count. He made every number at least twice. Some 3x and the six and eight: 4x. He actually hit the All Tall Small bet for 25 on each. Big money. I did not bet it but still made some good money. Colored up as I had to go to the seminar. Made 3x my buy in. Good day so far.
Went to seminar. All Day. Returned to casino late Friday night. 3 throws. Loss of 200. Waited for 5 count, should have made it a 8 count. Not a penny made on Random Rollers.
Saturday my wife and I toured the town. Met up with friends for dinner. Was not able to get to casino until midnight. Somewhat tired. Casino was mobbed. Plenty of tables open. Three lousy tosses. Down 150. Took a break. Crowd thinning. Tried another table. Three more throws. This time at a 25 table. Had two good throws. Hit the All Tall Small. Two other players had 10 on each. They were very happy. I did not play it. They were hounding me to make the 2, since it was the only one left. So after I made a point, on my come out, I set the Sixes on top with fives facing me, and lo and behold, I threw the snake eyes! They went crazy. I waited for the payouts to them and went back to work. Finished good. Up 450. Next throw was about an 8. Loss of 60 dollars. Last throw was a PS. I went back to hotel and left vegas at 7am for trip home.
Summary: Vegas is crazy. Very busy on weekends. Lots of bouncy tables. Lots of craps players at tables. Lots of middle action. Had a good time, made a few bucks. But not really comfortable there. That would take some time that I do not have. I will stick to AC. Better place to play for me

I do not play craps a lot in Vegas but I do play other Advantage Games that I can not find on the East Coast.
I play a lot of Video Poker, BJ and Pai Gow at the casino I always stay at.
I play 99% of my Craps in Connecticut and AC for obvious reasons.
