I try to keep the back of my hand parallel with my arm. No crook in the wrist. Imagine your arm in a cast, the major bones in your hand in line with the bones in your fore arm.

At the conclusion of my throw, the follow thru, my hand and arm have not changed from the beginning position. The back of my hand is pointing at the ceiling and I want the "bird" fingers knuckle pointing generally at the target.

Posted by: Striker on August 8, 2013, 3:10 pm

I must not be lined up properly. The follow through and ending should finish square. One way to check your finish is to leave your hand up at the end of the throw and check your lateral position. It is also good form to allow your arm to finish high (90 degrees) and don’t rush the arm back down. There should be no movement or flicking of the wrist at anytime in the process. This just adds unwanted energy and the dice will come off the wall in a random fashion.

Posted by: Striker on August 9, 2013, 10:34 pm

Thank Dice Pilot….I made the adjustment and my shot looks better.

Posted by: Dr Crapology on August 10, 2013, 11:03 am

We like to hold our arm out straight–the Heisman look–and HOLD that position until the dice hit the table. By hold out release in practice we can look and make sure our release is straight.
