We learn in class to limit yourself to 3 or 4 turns with the dice during a session. If you walk in and on your first session you have a win, do you walk away or do you stay for the next 2 turns? I know it would also depend on how you feel and energy level, but just considering the win aspect what would you do? I have walked in won and walked out. I have walked in taken 3 turns and a small loss then left. So just curious what others would do.

Replies:

Posted by: HardNine on June 6, 2018, 9:47 pm

I play my intended session time unless it goes South or other circumstances change.

Posted by: getagrip on June 6, 2018, 10:49 pm

I definitely go by how I physically feel and how much energy I have expended on the previous hand. Base it on how you feel physically and mentally. Of course if the table is crowded and it will take a long time to get the dice back, you probably should not be playing there anyhow. But that would be a definite reason to leave.

A long roll generates a lot of adrenaline in your body. You may not feel it at first but it has an effect on you. A few minutes after the roll is over, it will leave your body and you will definitely be tired. You may not feel it but your body will be affected by it.

So after a long roll, if you don’t feel like you are at peak performance level, you should quit and take a break. Go and do something relaxing.

Posted by: Skinny on June 7, 2018, 2:43 am

I just read DoughBoy’s post of his last trip.

There are many good ideas in that post about how to play the game.

Be sure to read it at: Good Results

Posted by: Dominator on June 7, 2018, 11:23 am

Nothing to add. By our third turn, the table is frequently filling up, and we go to breakfast. Later in the day and evening, if the table is full, we will play if we get our spots, but we may take only one turn, rather than wait for the dice to come around again.

So, the answer to your question is, it depends. Everything comes into play. How do we feel, the time of day, how long before the dice come around, etc.

Goddess

So I’m just curious about this.
