You have it all wrong.
My take is if you have sex you must understand you will never be as good at it as NofieldFive.
I hope to someday have half his talent.
All kidding aside Frank is correct on this point.
I pratice with another GTC student.
he has pretty good skills, better than mine for sure.
He likes to place the inside numbers.
I place the 6 & 8 with come bets after collecting a couple hits.
He and I can play together and bet on each other at like amounts and no one else.
Almost without exception I will win more or lose less than he does simply because I try to follow what is taught.
If those 5’s & 9’s are showing or even 4’s & 10’s the come bets will have you there with less risk.

I have been placing 6,8 and buying 4 or 10, sometimes both. But, every time i see those 5s and 9s coming up, I feel like I am losing money.
I read Craps: Shoot to Win, and it said buying the 5 and 9 is much better (obviously). But i don’t recall it really talking much about whether a dice controller should take this bet on top of the 6,8, 4/10 combo. Maybe a come bet with max odds would be better.
