As we go through life, most of us have some type of guide or center point we balance
ourselves from…. we try to be decent to other people, try to do the right thing etc.

My basis has always been logic, i feel like Spock of my family….logic is easy to
work with…. well see now that makes sense, so i do it or dont do it.

Some of you know what i do for a living, now i am working a good deal on reviewing
appraisals to see what happened in the housing crash….how much was just
what happened and how much happened because people were dishonest. In that
effort i used to make excuses for all the crap..i could not understand why i had
a 3 foot high stack of fraudulent appraisals on the floor next to my desk and all those
appraisers were still working.. after years of this… i grew up!!!!!

No more excuses, the reason we had fraudulent appraisals was because we had dishonest
appraisers hired by dishonest bankers pushed on by a dishonest government. That is
why we are where we are. All kinds of people knew and no one tried to stop it.

Well i cant say no one…… i tried, i had scores of calls to FHA trying to stop their
concession program which led to 8 million foreclosures…. i tried and for that i was
fired by 90% of my clients because it was fraud and i said it was fraud.

That was ok in that most of them came back when they understand that their way
cost them money in the long run…..While it is very hard to lose customers trying to
be honest.. it is also very good to not need them when they come back….

I wrote all this nonesense to try to help me make sense of the election. Logic tells
me you cant help the poor by increasing prices on what the poor needs. You cant
help employers hire more people when you keep increasing the cost of hiring a
worker, you cant encourage investment when you take more and more of any profit from
that investment. Pure logic.. and correct

So now what is the excuse…. it seems rather simple.. people got what they wanted. The
democratic press, the democratic education system, the democratic party have so
demonized business and those that have done well that the only people that will support
us is us, and there are not as many of us as there are of them.

I had a good conversation with a guy from Paul Ryans office about this. HIs point was the same
as mine. You cant fight a battle with one arm when the side is using 2. Business people work
and in their spare time they try to protect themselves against people like Obama. Obama and
the dem party, press and education system work full time 24 hours a day .. the result is
predictable.

His thought is also the same as mine, in this political fight, tyring to be nicer, trying to
educate them is a waste of time… you need to make your point louder and very very clear. For
me that is hard, for most you just as hard….We need to have business say no more.. we are not
going to open tomorrow… or the next day until you speak with us….. as sportsman we need to
hook up every boat or trailer or camper and sit in down town madison so nothing moves,…. period
we have to scare them to the core so they understand without our tax money, their type of
society cant exist.

This last election has raised the stakes in the game of the type of society we want to have, we can
either check and lose the hand or we can come over the top and reraise. Make them understand we
are not just sitting at the table, we built the table.

Sadly, knowing the American small business people.. we will check… because for us the only
logical thing to do it work harder.
