Fought it for a year!

Spread the love

2020 is starting off great….. but first…..

My home casino has a good number of tables, 2 of which are [a girl’s best friend] and a [lucky number of stars] only. I’ve really struggled on the first (I can’t yet play at the second) for all of 2019. The surface is different than other tables there, and I’ve gotten clobbered, so in 4th quarter, I pretty much didn’t play that table.

Coming into 2020, I joined a bunch of folks in AC including Midnight and BigDaddyRevs (my casino son who I met at my GTC primer class), and several other among us. The entire weekend was phenomenal, only one seriously bad session, and a good number of outstanding sessions. Everything felt great, even had dealer at one of the places make sure my chips were in the same rail space as my previous session (it’s a result of tipping the dealers, folks!).

Yesterday, I hit my home casino, only 2 tables open and my spot was open at the special table. It’s strange that the table was even open, but actually hadn’t closed from the night before. I figured that I’d give it a try and go in easy until (if) I figured it out. The first couple of hands weren’t stellar, but I found the right combination of grip, spin, and landing spot to finally make a difference. From then on, went crazy! In the middle of this, Green Machine, through code speak, found out some things, and even asked if I had a handle like HardNine! I said How’d you know my handle? Are you Green Machine, and it was! Nice finally meeting you, Green Machine!

Anyway, back to perseverance…. I wasn’t going to get clobbered again, but I’d done well in the past on this table, and just struggled for a year. My intent was to go in easy to see what I could see. Once I found it, I made sure that I did everything the same and FOCUSED! Great to have had a great trip to AC and a great session at my home casino to start out 2020. Now to keep it going!!!

To great shooting in 2020!

Hardnine,

Great trip report ! Nothing better than when your dialed in and the dice are reacting they way you want. Way to start 2020! Hope you have many more profitable trips.

And I agree, In most cases if you tip your dealers they will look out for you ! When I have the dice the dealers are always on the pass line with me, If I’m on a good run they will have odds. Recently I had one of the crew warn me about the height of my throw, I just agreed and kept on doing it MY WAY none of the other dealers said a word as the tokes where rolling in for them.

great to finally meet you hard nine. love your throw. table would be better with fewer people but most people passed the dice.

Mr. Nine—always great to see you posts. Really look forward to seeing you a casino in 2020. Your dedication has really paid off. We just hope that others will learn from this post as there is a lot to be learned there.
